A “hidden gem” from … at the end of the “ At Brixton Academy” , there are a couple of bonus studio tracks.

I always thought that this song, , was up there with ’s best work, and yet somehow it remains relatively unknown…

And here’s the , as best we’re aware, for those that are looking for them…

Tears fall, They scarred your innocent teens.
Love’s fool, The company you envy.
Leaves fall, The seasons pass you by.
And you think, that maybe you can fly.
Serious fool, Relate your mind to a girl.
Crowds form, But think, smiling, of his peril.
Buildings fold, The pavement isn’t there.
But whats the last thing that goes through your head?
You take the elevator to the top,
The next thing you know,
There you are standing on the edge.
And all the flashing lights and futile cries,
They’re left with you now,
Just close your eyes and take that final step.

Wasteful, They dampen your will to .
Dice fall, Release pleasure that you give.
You fall, And take the whole world with you.
And will you even bother to look down?

You take the elevator to the top,
The next thing you know,
There you are standing on the edge.
The victors there to turn you inside out,
So recognise me,
Before you find out what’s inside your head!
( SOLO)

You take the elevator to the top,
The next thing you know,
There you are standing on the edge.
Whats left is left and turns you inside out,
So recognise me,
Before you find out what’s inside your head.

And all the flashing lights and futile cries,
They’re left with you now,
Just close your eyes and take that final step,
Just close your eyes and take that final step…….

will be playing 2009

Twelve more bands have been announced for 2009.  Former and lead vocalist will be playing, as will be giants Journey!

will be playing his solo meterial and the appearance follows the recent release of his 3rd solo , , last week.

I’ve not heard yet, but rest assured, I’ll be reviewing it soon.  His first solo , is a work of genius, but sadly his 2nd effort, , didn’t hit the same heights.

Incidentally, if you haven’t heard , get yourself onto Spotify and check it out.  Superb stuff.

has stated to the press that a reunion is unlikely to ever happen, and that the various former members of the had put a lid on their days.  Ah well.  Another great I’ll never get a chance to see .

In 1998 we thought “everything’s ruined” when of the breakup of this seminal emerged, and after digging the grave, saying “ashes to ashes” and drinking a for this once-great act over a decade ago, they’ve come back to get us on the and this is the thing.

Personally, I’m falling to piece over this , so I take this bottle and toast the that brought us these classic albums…
