New Model Army, they were dreadful weren't they? 'Gerrin' the bastards, gerrin the bastards'. From a bunch of clog wearing Yorkshiremen. What the cook was that all about. Woohoo, rock and roll. |

For me they were one of the great alternative rock bands. Up there with The Levellers for pointing out the injustice in the world and spreading a message that we shouldn't let the establishment push us around. As an old punk rocker, I would've thought you'd approve |

I just had a listen to the first few tracks of Wizards Of Time on their site and I like what I'm hearing... they sound pretty interesting, so I've downloaded the whole album... I'll check it out properly later when I've got a bit more free time. Thanks for the recommendation! Here's the actual link for anyone else that wants to check them out... http://www.wizardsoftime.info/ I've got nothing against links to free music like this, it's the spammers that I've got a problem with who come onto the forum, post 15 links to a "buy viagra" website and then vanish, never to be seen again. That sort of thing's out of order in my opinion, whereas giving away your band's music for free is not only perfectly acceptable, it is lauded here. We approve. So, are you actually in the band, or are you a fan of theirs, or just someone trying to help promote them? Either way, what other music are you into? |

You gotta check out Assembly of Dust, they've got so much precision and attitude in their stuff. Very folky stuff. Their new album is out tomorrow, so def check that out. |
