I love Funk music are there any other fans out there?? I really like God Made Me Funk's new single Lay It with Julie Black it's awesome! There new cd comes out today...can't wait to hear the rest of it! What are all the funk fans listening to? anything else i should be checking out??? |

Hey there... and welcome to the RMF! I love funk too.... James Taylor Quartet, Billy Cobham, Parliament / Funkadelica, Brand New Heavies (technically Acid Jazz but they've got their funk moments) to name a few. |

Hi Funkateers I post from Chile, a southamerican country with some goods examples of Funk-Soul-R&B like Minimas (lp ''Lolita en la playa'' 1970), Combo Xingu (specially his second album of 1972, pre Militar Coup..sadly), Fusión (lp ''Top Soul''), Flor Motuda (Funky Techan, Las Máquinas), Los Tetas, Chancho En Piedra (the chilean Red Hot Chili Peppers), Mata Hari (like Brand New Heavies), CHC, Funk Real, etc. About the article ''WHO STARTED FUNKY MUSIC?'' , i want colaborate wth a blog with very rar and interesting info about the 'antecedents' of syncopation on the One..too came from New ORLEANS Second line parade tradition..
