Still, interested to hear what his solo stuff's like. I had to look up Miggs and Thriving Ivory on YouTube and I swear, the first video I played by Thriving Ivory had the same chord sequence as the first song I found by Miggs. Can't say I was impressed with either of them to tell you the truth. Straight no-frills 4-chord guitar-pop. Decent vocalists but the songs are just a bit too predictable and plain for my liking. Not that I'm against 4-chord music as a whole, but there's a world of difference between say, Counting Crows and the stuff that these guys are doing. |

i hear you...i really want to see what Ed's solo stuff is like and i will usually get a better first impression from a live show than a recording so I'm tempted to see what he's got these days.. kinda funny about the youtube thing... |
